English Abstract
Mn-doped ZnO thin films are grown on glass substrates at 350 °C by the technique of spray pyrolysis.
The XRD pattern shows that all thin films have clearly the polycrystalline wurtzite structure with preferential orientation along the (0 0 2) direction and had no impurity phase.
This indicated that Mn ions have occupied the Zn site without changing wurtzite structure.
The crystallite size D(0 0 2) calculated gave values of about 32.28 and 25.49 nm.
Transmission UV–visible spectroscopy showed that the films were performed by ransmittance >77 % from 300 to 800 nm.
All samples are transparent and exhibit a high transmittance in the visible region.
The obtained films gaps values vary in the range from 3.25 to 3.28 eV The electrical measurements were made using the technique of four points.
The values of the resistivity obtained decrease for the high concentrations.
