The VLSI system design is time and money expensive.

Therefore, fast and error-free approaches are required.

Today, standard cells and silicon compilation are the most promising methodologies for VLSI system design.

In this paper, we present CMORGEN, a tool that efficiently produces layouts of parameterized cells concerning shifter arrays, memory address decoders, and PLAs.

This work is a twofold purpose.

It is intended to either design library cells, rapidly, or to serve as a tool in a silicon compilation environment.

Indeed, CMORGEN has been able to produce layouts for large circuits in a reasonable CPU time.
