Apanteles angaleti (musebeck)‎, hymenoptera braconidae a new record species in Iraq

Notes are given regarding new record species of the braoonid parasite -hort note in Iraq, coat is Apanteles angaleti it is found to parasitize early larval instars of Ectomyclois ccratomac, one of the most serious pests of pomegra¬nate fruit.

The braconid parasite Apanttlcs angaleti (Musebeck) is newly recorded in Iraq.

It was identfied previously under ultor group of Apanteles.

And previous works were published under Apanteles sp.

group pltor (A-Maiiicy ani Al-Izzi, 1986 : Al-Maliky et al 1988) ihe species parasitizing pomegranate fruit moth larvae, Ectomyclois ceratoniae Zeller, as an enaparasif^.

This species recorded from India (Musebeck, 1956) and Pakistan (Mohammed and Mohammed.

1972 ; Siphon and Varna, 1983) to parasitize other host such as Ptctinophora gossypiella and Sathrobrcta simplex.
