Determination of pKa's, thermodynamic data for some 2-methyl-N-(Substituted Phenyl)‎-4, 5- dihydrofuran-3-carboxamides

Acid dissociation constants of some 2-Methyl-N-(Substituted Phenyl) -4, 5- Dihy- drofuran-3- Carboxamide in 50% v/v dioxane-water have been studied, where the substituents at the phenyl group are, H, 0-, p-OH; O-, m-CH3; O-, m-N02 ; p-NH2; p-COOH; p-Br and o-Cl: The thermodynamic parameters AGO, AHO and ASO were calculated.

Linear Hammett correlation with substituent constant, o, was ob- tained.
