Abstract EN

This study intends to shed light on the dispute over the effectiveness of fiscal and monetary policies in stabilizing the economy.

We estimated the Saint-Louis model for Jordan using annual data for the period of 1968-1993.

It has been found that fiscsl policy plays a major role in affecting the level of gross domestic product in the less developed countries, particularly in Jordan.

Therefore, we recommend that more emphasis should be given to fiscal policy over the monetary policy.
