An alternative data encryption standard (DES)‎ algorithm using variable tables

Abstract EN

This paper presents a new design for the most known cryptographic algorithm which is the Data Encryption Standards (DES).

This algorithm uses fixed tables which are considered a weak point that enables enemies to access secure information.

For this reason, we proposed an alternative procedure to make these table varied instead of being fixed, that leads to a more secure algorithm.

All previous researches concentrated.

On securing this algorithm by enforcing the key used for encryption and decryption messages and also on changing the round numbers dedicated for generating this key, but our project is considered the first trial for changing fixed tables of this algorithm to a variable one.

Finally, we use the concept of agreement which is considered an effective way to derive varied tables in each transmission session.
