Abstract EN

This study aims at investigating the socio-economic impacts of on the families of the handicapped.

The sample of the study is composed of 139 families of the handicapped and covered about 21 congregation of in habitants, in the Irbid area, in addition to Irbid city.

The study has employed the interview based on a questionnaire for gathering information by the help of the T.A students as well as employing the computer for analyzing datain order to find the percentages ratios and Chi-square test, and define the level of the statistical indication i.e.

(0.05).

The study shows that the families of the handicapped suffer from economic charges and difficulties as well as social problems, as difficulties of intra-marriages, and a stigma, which influences their chances for normal social relations.
