Abstract EN

This letter proposes a novel channel-tracking scheme to improve the performance of the dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) systems affected by rapid fluctuations in channel envelopes.

The proposed technique is called “iterative (turbo) compensation.” It utilizes additional information extracted from the receivers output to further improve the accuracy of the channel estimation.

Simulation results show that the iterative scheme performs better than noniterative techniques in higher constellation modulations at high vehicle speeds.
