Bi2WO6 photocatalyst was first utilized to degrade malachite green.

The effects of the concentration of malachite green, the pH value, and the concentration of Bi2WO6 on the photocatalytic efficiency were investigated.

This study presents a strategy to eliminate highly toxic and persistent dyes such as malachite green.
