Abstract EN
Stiffness estimates of unloaded isotropic particulates are made by a new analytical model, when reinforcements are either compact or hollow spheres.
A statistical extension of this model is described when stiffness predictions involve loading of syntactic composites.
A simple experimental routine is also proposed for monitoring the microballoons fracture upon brittle syntactic metal-matrix composites tensile loading.
