Reaction of 2-(3-guaiazulenyl)-1,1-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethylene with 2-chloroethyldimethylammonium chloride in acetone in the presence of K2CO3 at reflux temperature for 24 hours gives a new title compound in 89% yield.
Spectroscopic properties and crystal structure of the target molecule are reported.
