This paper considers a Legendre polynomials spectral approximation for the infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems.

As a consequence, the Legendre polynomials spectral semidiscrete system is a Hamiltonian system for the Hamiltonian system whose Hamiltonian operator is a constant differential operator.
