- تقسم الأصوات في اللغة الإنكليزية وفقا لثلاثة معايير : مكان النطق و هيئة النطق و قوة النطق، أي فيما إذا كان الصوت شديدا أو لينا بالاعتماد على الطاقة العضلية المبذولة و قوة التنفس المستخدمة.
- تصف فيشر اورجنسن (160:1975) الأصوات الشديدة في مشهدين : المشهد الأول ذو الإطار الفيزيائي بأن الأصوات الشديدة تتطلب أمدا طويلا و ترددا حادا في الحزمة و الوقت، و المشهد الثاني ذو الإطار الجيني بأن الأصوات الشديدة تتطلب وقتا طويلا في نطقها و غلقا أو تضييقا لمجرى النطق و ضغطا عاليا في الهواء المحبوس و بهذا ممكن تعريف الأصوات الشديدة بأنها الأصوات التي تتطلب درجة قوية من الطاقة العضلية و التنفس بالمقارنة مع الأصوات اللينة.
– إن هذه المقارنة بين الأصوات الشديدة و اللينة موجودة في معظم اللغات بما يتشابه مع اللغة الإنكليزية و تحت مسميات أخرى و صيغ مختلفة.
و يعد البحث الحالي محاولة لسبر أغوار هذا الثنائي في قوة النطق في اللغتين العربية و الإنكليزية و مدى تنوع هذا الثنائي من الأصوات الشديدة و اللينة في هاتين اللغتين.
Abstract EN
This work is a trial to investigate the nature of fortis and lenis consonants in English and Arabic and to what extent does such a dichotomy varies in these two languages.
