Abstract EN
For Egypt, the export-led growth (ELG) hypothesis has been tested using Johansen’s (1988) cointegration and Granger causality based on the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM).
During the period 1970-2012, this paper indicates that in both short run and long run there is a significant unidirectional relationship running from real exports, real imports and higher education attainment to economic growth, but not vice versa.
