Abstract EN
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a common musculoskeletal disorder characterized mainly by diffuse pain, fatigue and the presence of tender points on digital palpation.
This study was performed on forty-four patients diagnosed as FM according to the 1990 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria, in addition to a control group.
The aim of our work was to identify the clinical features of FM in our patients in comparison to the control group and international reports.
Sleep disturbances, headaches and depression presented more in Egyptian patients, while irritable bowel syndrome, female urethral syndrome and sicca syndrome symptoms were less in our cases than in international reports.
