English Abstract

Hiding data is an important factor in multiple areas in human life.

It is one of the important fields to perform secure communication.

Steganography could informally be defined as " Covered Writing " which means concealing the secret message inside a far from suspicions cover media that can be send without attracting any attention for sending secret messages, and it can provide secure communication. The thesis addressed the topic of steganography, and then presented the concepts and recent development in order to develop a comprehensive overview of steganography in historical context to bring out a clear view of methods, tools of this science and its application in ICT systems.

Also this thesis will discuss the subject of hiding data inside different kind of digital cover media such as text, images, soundfiles, video files and 3D images. The thesis proposed two new techniques for hiding the secret messages , the first proposed technique aims to hide the secret message inside a colored image based on the concept of visual appearance of the secret message ,so the first technique change the secret message into an image of the secret message in white and black, then in order to hide this visual form of the secret message it proposed tow approaches to achieve that , one aims to provide a good capacity with providing high degree of robustness by hiding the secret image in three different ways , however the second approach less the degree of robustness in order to increase the capacity of the hiding technique into 3 times of what the first approach provide. The second proposed technique aims to use the 3D images as a cover media for hiding the secret message , this technique use the concept of the visual form of the secret message by using image of the secret message in black and white and convert it into a stream of bits in special sequence in order to hide it inside the 3D image file which came as 3D object file, this technique addressed the topic of using the 3D object file in hiding the secret information by a new style represented in the special analysis of the secret message and can provide an acceptable capacity range in comparing to the techniques in the same filed ,with providing a good robustness came in the use of the visual form of the secret message which make the secret message has agood immunity against distortion.

Also in this technique the way of hiding the secret message as text image in real, is a method of hiding image inside 3D object files which not be addressed by the existing methods in the field . The discussion shows that the proposed techniques provide an acceptable result in terms of usability, reliability.

In both techniques the secret message can be retrieved in a very good shape and without any losing of information.
