Poetry is the mirror of Arabic life, and truthful image of Arab traditions, their customs, and values.

Otherwise, it represents the spirit of Arab and expresses it.

It aIso exposes the Arabic Iife with aII its fe atures.

As weII as, it records the historical events.

As a a matter of fact, the poet has a high position in his community and tribe, because he is the speaker mouth, the protector of its dignity, presenter of its goals, immortalizing its victory.

The recent study entitled "the poetry of ampassador poets in u mayyad period".

It exposes the role and the mission of the Umayyad poets who represented their tribes and foIks as ambassador to the caliphs.

The paper tries to explain the concept of ambassador, its goals, missions which were explained by the ambassador poets.
