The training requirements for Jordanian public universities librarians The limitation of training requirements is clearly related to training planning procedure, which is considered one of the most basic training processes for organisation that need to pay a special attention for drawing a methodological, clear strategy depending on well organisation training planning to make use of all human resources appropriately to achieve desired revenue for both individuals and the organization.

The current study aims to recognise the Jordanian governmental universities librarians training requirements according to their perception in various aspects such as administrative, technical and information system.

Trying to find out whether there are a statistic significant differences of the study population response, referring to their academic qualifications, specialisation, years of experience, the present work, the workplace, and acquired training courses in the field of library and information system.

The descriptive survey methodology is adopted, the data was collected in this study by questionnaire for the participants who are the Jordanian governmental universities librarians, towards that end, proper statistical methods have been applied in processing data in order to reach to the optimal results, as well as to obtain a fruitful recommendations.
