Abstract EN
The nonlinear heat conduction equation governing the heat conditioning of "short" logs is presented as basis for model development.
The solution of this equation, making use of a finite-difference technique and the enthalpy method, and accounting for a variable longitudinal-to-radial conductivity ratio, was developed and implemented.

Le traitement thermique des grumes de "courtes" longueurs est gouverne par 1'equation nonlineaire et bidimensionnelle de conduction de chaleur.
Cette equation a ete resolue numeriquement par la methode des differences finies et la methode enthalpique.
Elle a ete ensuite utilisee pour developper un modele informatise de simulation dans lequel le rapport de la conductivite thermique longitudinale a la conductivity thermique radiale est variable.
