Abstract EN
Customized vestibular and balance rehabilitation therapy (VBRT) is considered the most effective line of management of chronic dizziness, it consists of an exercise program designed to help a person to compensate for a loss of balance within the vestibular system.
Methodology: 30 patients were recruited, divided equally into 2 groups with certain inclusion criteria, which was satisfied by taking full history, and doing some vestibular function tests (VNG, VEMP and CDP), as well as Dynamic Visual Acuity test (DVA).
VBRT for 3 months was used so that first group receive home based program, on the other hand, second group receive home and clinic based program.
Outcome assessment was done using subjective test (DHI) and objective tests (CDP and DVA).
Results: Showed improvement using both protocols, with more improvement in DHI emotional and vestibulospinal reflex in group2.
Objective: to compare the efficacy of clinic based versus home based VBRT in management of patients with peripheral vestibular disorders with persistent dizziness.
