A retrospective survey of one hundred and fifty cases of idiopathic intracranial hypertension was conducted to study the epidemiology of the disease.
Clinical presentation, radiological findings and criteria for diagnosis were reviewed.
The lines of treatment were assessed and reviewed.
The study concluded that idiopathic intracranial hypertension is a benign condition but with grave consequences for vision in cases of delayed or incorrect diagnosis.
