English Abstract

Health care organizations equipped with modern monitoring and other data collection devices, which provide a relatively inexpensive way to collect and store data in information systems.

Huge amount of data that have been collected in medical databases require specialized tools for storing and accessing data, analysis data, and effective use of data.

In particular, an increase in the amount of data caused great difficulties in extracting information to support decision-making is useful.

In Jordan there are huge amount of medical data which need to analyze so it be useful.

In our thesis we had taken a breast cancer patient‟s records which include eight fields: age, martial statues, smoking statues, address, statues of the patient, morphology, topology and summary stage of the cancer; to cluster it.

We had applied two data mining algorithm: K-mean and Self Organizing Map (SOM), and compare between the results and algorithms work.

The result was seven clusters that clarify the relation between the data types.

So it can be used now in the medical statistics and studies
