The occurrence of diarrhoea in patients with measles Mas first noted by the famous Muslim physician, Rhazes in 860 AD and in West Africa the importance and danger of diarrhoea with measles was recognized by Daniell more than 100years ago' '.
In nutritionally compromised areas of the world, acute diarrhoea is a common manifestation of measles especially in children less than five years of age Its f requency and severity is closely related to the severity of the measles'4' and the whole gastrointestinal tract can be involved with enteritis, enterocolitis and appendicitis being reported' b Koplik spots in the colon of a patient with measles has been reported by Corbett EU.
We report another case of colitis and Koplik spots in the colon of a patient with measles and review the pertinent literature.
