Abstract EN
Isolated fallopian tube torsion is a rare entity that occurs most frequently during the menstruating years but has been reported also in premenarchial girls and postmenopausal women11 The first case of tubed torsion was reported in 1890[>aiul the incidence of isolated fallopian tube torsion in Denmark has been found to be I in 1.5 million.
Diagnosis of this condition is often delayed because of the rarity of its occurrence and the need for prolonged investigations to exclude more common causes of acute abdominal pain.
