Abstract EN
In this study 'body' is considered to be the actual state of a person's existence and could not be divided from the mind as the human organism.
Body affects the 'self through body movements.
Cerebral palsy is the result of a lesion or mal-development of the brain, non-progressive in character and existing from earliest childhood.
The motor deficit finds expression in abnormal patterns of posture and movement, in association with an abnormal postural tone.
No research has been conducted to isolate the effects of a Psycho-rehabilitative technique on components of motor.
Dohsa-hou, a Japanese psycho rehabilitation method using motor training, was introduced to 10 subjects with cerebral palsy in a pre-post (six weeks) design.
Four expert raters were asked to judge the degree of improvement in the subjects'body posture and movement.
Findings suggest that the training method had a significant effect on body movement as compared to body posture.
Since the effect may be particular to this subject group further studies are suggested.
