Abstract EN
This article provides a general overview of the electrodiagnosis of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS).
It begins with a discussion of the etiology and pertinent signs and symptoms of CTS.
Each of the various sensory and nerve conduction studies that are used to diagnose CTS are discussed and the proper set-up of each technique is described and illustrated pictorially.
Finally, the diagnosis of CTS with concomitant peripheral neuropathy is reviewed.
A table of standard values for sensory and motor latencies and amplitudes is provided at the end of the article as appendix.
