Abstract EN

Iitil ؤووئ neurocysticcrcosis had not been detected in Qatari children who had not traveled to countries where cysticercosis is endemic.

Since then five cases have been detected, treated and followed.

All had positive radiologi-calfiiiclings, one had positive CSF serology, two had brain biopsies and all had extensive diagnostic tests.

Satisfac-tory treatment, clinical aspects, pathogenesis, complications and methods ()/prevention are described and discussed.

Il is suggested that the disease arose through contact with infested house servants and food handlers and llntl these should be treated empirical/}' on first arrival in the conn-try.
