Arabic Abstract

تعد العنصریة میدانا خصبا للدراسة و ذلك لآثارھا و أھمیتھا الثقافیة.

و لقد كتبت و نشرت الكثیر من الدراسات لا سیما الكتب و المقالات في جمیع أنحاء العالم حول شخصیات المغاربة و تمثیلھم العرقي في المسرحیة الانجلیزیة.

و بما أن موضوع العنصریة العرقیة تشكل أحد أبرز القضایا الظاھرة في مسرحیات عصر النھضة الانجلیزیة ؛ فإننا نجد أن العدید من كتاب مسرحیات العصر النھضوي قد عرضوا ھذه القضیة من خلال أعمالھم المسرحیة مثل : مسرحیة عطیل (1603) و مسرحیة تیتوس أندرونیكوس (1590) لولیام شكسبیر، و مسرحیة سیطرة الشھوة (1599) لتوماس دیكر.

تعد العنصریة العرقیة قضیة حاسمة تناقش في كل مكان و زمان.

و خلال عصر النھضة ساد الاعتقاد بأن أي شخص لا ینحدر من أصول أوروبیة یجب أن یضطھد و ینظر إلیھ بوصفھ مسخا.

و ھذا یظھر جلیا في أن قضیة التمییز العرقي التي لاقت قبولا بین الناس في ذلك الوقت حیث أشیر لأصحاب البشرة السوداء على أنھم وحوش بأشكال غریبة یفدون من خارج عالم البیض.

تدرس ھذه الأ طروحة ثلاثة مسرحیات إنجلیزیة نھضویة تعاملت مع قضیة التمییز العرقي من خلال ثلاثة فصول متتالیة.

یقسم ھذا العمل إلى خمسة فصول: یدرس الفصل الأول الخلفیة التاریخیة لقضیة التمییز العرقي و صورة شخصیة المغاریة في عصر النھضة.

و تعرض الفصول التالیة : الثاني و الثالث و الرابع تحلیلا نقدیا للمسرحیات المذكورة آنفا بما یخص قضیة التمییز العرقي.

و أخیرا تقدم الخاتمة موجزا لأھم نتائج البحث.

و لقد تبنت الدراسة أسلوبا للبحث یمكن وصفھ بالنصي و التاریخي في آن واحد.

و استخدمت الدراسة مصادر رئیسة و ثانویة تضفي المزید من الضوء على الموضوع المدروس و أھمیتھ بالنسبة إلى ھذا الحقل من الدراسة الأدبیة المعاصرة.

English Abstract

Racism in Renaissance has been a fertile field of study due to its cultural effects and significance.

Many studies have been written and published during the Renaissance England on the character of the Moor and the racial representation of this figure in English drama.

The theme of race is considered one of the leading themes in the English Renaissance plays.

Elizabethan playwrights displayed this critical issue several times in their great plays, such as William Shakespeare in his Othello (1603) and Titus Andronicus (1590), and Thomas Dekker in his Lust’s Dominion (1599).

Racism is an ancient problem that had been discussed in every period and society.

During the Renaissance era, it was thought that any person who did not come down from European decent should be dealt as foreigner who carried threats for the social order and the English thought of him as monstrosity.

This appears clearly in the treatment of the issue of racism commonly accepted among the people, who refer to black men as monsters and non- human beings from outside the boundaries of the white Christian world.

This study examines three English Renaissance plays that tackle the issue of racism in three chapters respectively.

The work will be divided into five chapters.

In the first chapter, there will be a historical background that deals with the Moor images in the Renaissance period.

In the second, third, and fourth chapters, the issue of race in the three plays will be critically discussed.

Finally, a conclusion will put forward the findings and results of the previous discussions.

The method used throughout the project can be described as textual and historical
