Abstract EN

The toxicity of propoxur was studied in fifteen Nubian goats, 6 of which died in extremes within 6 h after single dosage of 150 and 50 mg/kg.

Daily doses of 15 and 5 mg/kg for 90 days caused mild toxicity.

The main signs of poisoning were salivation, lachryination, tympany, dyspnoea, weakness of the fore and hind limbs and recum-bency.

Clinical signs and pathological lesions were correlated with changes in the blood.
