Abstract EN
General conditions for model validity testing of linear multi-input multi-output (MIMO) models are derived based on a simple covariance analysis of the residual sequences resulting from the identification procedure.
These tests are shown to depend strongly on the type of estimation algorithm used and their application to both simulated and real data is included to illustrate their effectiveness.
