Abstract EN

The article dealt with the topic of what is sough refuge from in the Glorious Qur'an.

It is divided into two broad sections.

The first section, which dealt with one’s self evils, is further divided into: i) seeking refuge from the evil whispers and insinuations of both the devils and humans generally; ii) seeking refuge from the whispers of the devils and all their psychological and bodily harm; and, iii) seeking refuge from the whispers of the devils in certain situations.

The second section, which dealt with the evils of creatures in general, is divided into: i) the command to seek refuge from the evil of all creatures; and ii) seeking refuge from specified evils.

The article arrived at the following conclusions: the Qur’an’s comprehensiveness as it deals with certain topics, the perilous nature of the things that are sought refuge from and the importance of battling against one’s self to be spared its menace.
