التفطر بالفطريات المستدعمة مرض فطري نادر الحدوث تسببه الفطريات المستدعمة الضفدعية و هي فطريات رمية بيئية من أعضاء فئة الفطريات العفنية تحت صف الحشراوات و هي عدوى انتهازية منتشرة في عدة مناحي من العالم و يمكن أن تسبب إصابات قاتلة في الأشخاص ناقصي المناعة.
هنا نقدم لحالة مزارع نيجيري في الثلاثين من العمر بورم فطري عملاق من هذا النوع من الفطريات بالحاجب و الوجه و لا يشكي من شيء آخر خلاف هذا الورم.
و ناقشنا أيضا تحديات التشخيص و العلاج لمثل هذه الحالات في منطقتنا.
Abstract EN
Basidiobolomycosis, a rare disease caused by the fungus Basidiobolusranarum, an environmental saprophyte, member of the class Zygomycetes; order Entomophthorales, found worldwide is an opportunistic infection that can be life-threatening in immune compromised patients.
This report presents an unusual case of a giant orbito-facial basidiobolomycosis in a 30-year-old, otherwise healthy Nigerian farmer.
The diagnostic and treatment challenges peculiar in our environment were also discussed.
