Abstract EN

A hot-wire investigation of the wake-boundary of a finite circular cylinder of aspect ratio, l/D = 37 at a low subcritical Reynolds number of 9955 is presented.

The spanwise and streamwise variations of the wake width due to the finite end are examined.

The general features of the wake boundaries from the present investigation are compared qualitatively with available flow visualization experi¬ments.
