English Abstract

Results of this study revealed that moxifloxacin and terbinafine antimicrobial drugs caused a teratogenic effect and dereased male fertility in Sprague - Dawley rats .

Both drugs induced dose - dependent decrease in mothers body weight gain , placental weight , caused abortion in some pregnant female , early fetal resortions and fetal deaths as well as growth retardation in some fetuses obtained from pregnant rats given these drugs during the period of organogenesis
