English Abstract

Cell culture systems are considered as an important host system for propagation of avian influenza virus.

The growth and propagation of H5N1 influenza viruses can differ among the various primary and continuous cell cultures used for these purposes.

Eight isolates of Egyptian highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza viruses were collected during period between 2006-2011, and were passaged on 3 types of cell cultures
