Abstract EN

System theory properties of relaxat on systems are revised and new properties are developed.

Approximation of relaxation systems using Balanced truncation, Singular perturbation balanced truncation, Hankel norm model reduction, and H approximation schemes is studied.

Some further properties related to the H norm are explored.

Application of the results to power spectrum estimation is discussed.
