English Abstract

A total of 570 milk samples ( 300 from cow and 270 ewes ) were examined for detection of streptococci.

120 cow milk samples ( 40% ) and 115 ewes milk samples ( 42.6% ) were positive for CMT.

The result of the test was recorded on the basis of gel formation.

Streptococcus species were isolated from cows ( 55 % ) and ewes ( 50.4%)
