الهدف : تقييم فاعلية العسل المضادة للبكتيريا.
الطريقة : لقد تم في هذا البحث دراسة لصلاحية إحدى عشرة نوعا من العسل تباع في منطقة مكة المكرمة (تسعة أنواع مستوردة و نوعان محليان) كمضادات حيوية ضد الم 22 كورات العنقودية البرتقالية، الاشريكية المعوية و الزائفة الزنجارية.
النتائج : تمت دراسة فاعلية ستة أنواع من العسل على عدة أنواع من البكتيريا و الفطريات المعزولة في المختبر.
و أثبت البحث أن الفاعلية تختلف حسب نوع العسل كما أن بعض الجراثيم مقاومة لمفعول العسل.
أيضا اثبت البحث أن العسل لا يفقد فاعليته كمضاد حيوي حتى بعد غليه لمدة خمسة عشرة دقيقة أو حفظه في درجة حرارة بين 2-8 درجة مئوية و لمدة ستة أشهر.
كما تبين أن عسل الغابة السوداء الألماني يحتوي على أعلى فاعلية يتبعه العسل التركي و عسل زهور البرتقال و عسل الغابة و أخيرا عسل زهور الصيف.
الخلاصة : أظهر البحث أن للعسل خواصا مضادة للحيوية كما للمضادات الحيوية الأخرى، فبعض الكائنات الحية حساسة له بينما غيرها مقاوم له، و تختلف هذه الحساسية اعتمادا على نوعية العسل.
Abstract EN
Opjective-to determine the effectiveness and cost of minimal stimulation protocol (msp), a new combination of human menopausal gonadotrophin (hmg) and clomiphene citrate (cc), for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation Method-the ovulation rates pregnancy rates, abortion rates and the cost of medication were assessed in respect of 67 women who underwent msp.
Results–ovulation rate in the study group was 82%, pregnancy rate 21% and multiple pregnancies 7%.
Spontaneous abortion occurred in 36% of the pregnancies.
The average cost of msp stimulation was one-third of hmg protocol.
Conclusion-msp protocol, while substantially cheaper than hmg, gives comparable pregnancy rates with less need for monitoring and better patient comfort.
These justify further evaluation of its role in the treatment of infertility.
