Abstract EN

This research aims to prove the verity of foretelling the unseen in the first verses of Surah AlRum, (the Romans) in which the Lord Say: “(2) The Romans have been defeated.

(3) In a nearby land, but after being defeated, they shall soon be victorious.

(4) Within a few years; Allah's is the command before and after, and on that day the believers shall rejoice.

(5) With the help of Allah.

He helps whom He pleases, and He is the Mighty, the Merciful.” In addition, the study also aims to discuss the three suspicions raised by the Orientalists and missionaries that: the claim that the verse has an alternative reading that denote the victory of Persians over the Romans; and that the victory of the Romans over the Persians had been expectable; and that the victory of the Romans over the Persians had required more than a few years.

The study concluded that there is no true evidence of the presence of a correct alternative reading, and that all the physical evidences which entail the inevitability of the victory of the Romans over the Persians are weak, and that the victory verily had been achieved in a few years.

The researcher has followed in this research an inductive approach in order to trace the origins of the suspicions raised about the verses.

Then, he followed a historical approach to trace the events related to study.

Finally, the researcher followed the critical analytical approach to come up with substantive results
