في دراسة شملت عدد من مستشفيات مدينة بغداد، تم جمع 152 عينة سريرية مختلفة تضمنت عينات من الإدرار، و الحروق، و الجروح.
تم تشخيص 30 عزلة من جنس بكتيريا Proteus باستخدام الأوساط البكتريولوجية و الاختبارات البايوكيميائية، شخصت 20 عزلة (% 6.66) لنوع Proteus mirabilis و 10 عزلات (% 3.33) لنوع vulgaris Proteus.
كذلك تم عزل جنس ال Proteus بواقع 18 عزلة (60 %) من عينات الإدرار، و 7 عزلات (% 3.23) من الجروح، و 5 عزلات (% 16.6) من الحروق.
كانت نسبة عزل بكتيريا mirabilis .P من العينات السريرية قيد الدراسة بواقع 13 عزلة (% 65) تم عزلها من عينات الإدرار، و 4 عزلات (% 20) من عينات الجروح، و 3 عزلات (% 15) من عينات الحروق.
وفقا لجنس المصاب تم عزل 17 عزلة (% 56) من mirabilis .P من إصابات الذكور بينما كانت نسبة عزل البكتيريا من إصابات الإناث (% 43) بواقع 13 عزلة.
Abstract EN
In this research, 152 clinical samples were collected from different hospitals in Baghdad city, 30 isolates of Proteus spp.
were identified from urine, wounds and burns by using different bacteriological and biochemical assays.
It was found that 20 (66.
6 %) samples were identifies as Proteus mirabilis and 10 (33.
3 %) samples were Proteus vulgaris.
Among the 30 isolates of Proteus spp., 18 isolates (60 %) were isolated from urine samples ; 7 (23.

Out of 20 isolates of P.
mirabilis, 13 (65 %) isolates were from urine samples, 4 (20 %) isolates were isolated from wounds samples and 3 (15 %) isolates from burns.
According to the gender, out of 30 Proteus spp., 17 (56 %) were from female and 13 (43 %) from male at different age.
