Search and conventional investigation methods have become ineffective due to the change of criminals ‘operating mode based on the use of new scientific techniques to achieve their objectives.

Therefore, the Algerian legislature made use of new methods such as: eavesdropping, sound recording systems and capture of images and are subject of a set of security controls to ensure the respect of private life.

Thus, it is important to seek the degree of legitimacy of using these new investigation methods at both national and international levels due to the risk of violation of private life on one side and the necessity to its use to thwart this new type of criminality on the other side
