Several models have been presented for identification of the composition of interstellar dust during more than halfa century.
We discuss here the composition of dust along the sight toward the source GC-IRS 7 at the (9.7)micron.
We have analyzed dust absorption feature arising in the diffuse interstellar medium in this region in terms of inorçanic an biological materials.
The transmittance values that have been obtained from IR spectra of the samples were carried forward to opticdeth values and transformed to flux density by using Plank’s function.
This flux densit were compared with the flux density of 1RS 7, it has been found that the best agreement between the flux density of 1RS 7 and a mixture contains of; (Diatom Silica, E.co/i Bacteria, Murchison Meteorite and Silicon Dioxide).
This means that there is a thump print of biological material on the composition of dust grains of GC -IRS7.
