لقد استخدم مفهوم السحنات كأساس لإعادة بناء بيئة الترسيب القديمة لتكوين الفرات الجيري.
إن تتابع السحنات الدقيقة في التكوين يمثل بيئات مسطحات المد، اللاغون، خلف الشعاب و الشعاب المرجانية.
إن رواسب الكاربونات الضحلة هي من ثلاثة أنواع طبقا للوضع الإقليمي و هي رواسب المنحدرات أو المزالق و الرصيف الصخري و المنصة أو السطيح.
إن نمط السحنات، في الدراسة الحالية، يقترح منطقة الرصيف الصخري اعتمادا على موديل و يلسون، 1975 و موديل سارتوريو و فينتيوريني، 1988.
Abstract EN
Facies concept is served as a basis to reconstruct thematically the ancient depositional environment of Euphrates Limestone Formation.
The microfacies sequence in the formation represents هأس،،؛دلنا.
lagoon.back-reef and reef proper environments.
The shallow carbonate sediments are of three types due to the regional setting namely the ramps.shelves and platforms.The facies pattern suggests.in the present study a shelf area where the model of Wilson.
