Abstract EN
Evolutionary algorithm (HA) is a proven search/optimization technique based ،on an adaptive mechanism of biological systems via processes of selection and reproduction of individual structures that represent potential solutions for the problem at hand.
The evolutionary processes depend on the perceived performance (fitness) of the individual structures as defined by an environment.
Then, the role of selection operation is to focus attention on high fitness individuals in an order to exploit the available fitness information.
While the role of reproduction operators such as recombination and mutation is to perturb those individuals, providing general heuristics for exploration In this paper we study the effect of using different levels of selection pressures of evolutionary algorithms when used to solve real application -circuit layout application- or in other words decide where to place the components of electric circuit most efficiently ،on a printed circuit board.
