This research aims to design and built a laser scanner using rotated prism.

The concept of this system depend on deflect of the laser beam by pair of rotated prisms .

Such system can generate three patterns of scanning, which is linear, spiral, and stellar shape.

The system consist of pair of DC motors, two prisms made of birex and two spherical holder and semiconductor laser source.

This system is also supported with instrument to measure the prism rotation speed.

Changing the rotation speed of the prism will generate the scanning patterns by changing the.

supplied voltage of the voltage supplier.

This proposed scanning system is simple.

small is size and high control for speed rotation speed.

It clear that one can calculate the angular direction of the laser beam θR and the total diffraction at any time .
