Abstract EN

This paper emphasizes the need to reorient the concrete mix design concept to suit the Gulf conditions where durability and not strength is the matter of greater concern.

With suitable material selection and proper proportioning, durable concrete mixes can be designed for the Gulf environment.

The paper emphasizes that specifications be related to both minimum cement content and maximum w/c ratio.
