في هذه الدراسة حضر الكاربون المنشط من مواد أولية محمية و ذلك بمعاملة نوى البمبر مع حامض الفسفوريك المركز بنسبة (1:1) ثم معاملتها حراريا (500C o) بدرجة لمدة ساعة واحدة لمحصول على نوع جديد من الكاربون المنشط.
و حسبت المساحة السطحية الداخلية للكاربون المنشط المحضر بطريقة إمرار النيتروجين (BET),فضال عن ذلك قيست كفاءة الامتزاز من خلال استخدام الكاربون المنشط المحضر المتزاز صبغة الكونكو الحمراء congo red 2 من محلولها المائي و دراسة تغيير الدالة الحامضية, و وجد أن المساحة السطحية الداخلية للكاربون المنشط المحضر/ mg) (992.734 و يلاحظ أن كفاءة الامتزاز عند زمن 120 دقيقة.
و تقل كفاءة الامتزاز بزيادة الدالة الحامضية إذ كانت أعلى قيمة لكفاءة الامتزاز عند (pH=2) و عند زيادة كمية المادة الممتزة المضافة تزداد النسبة المئوية للامتزاز إلى 91 % .

The research work involves preparation and study of the adsorption characteristics of activated carbon to remove dyes from aqueous solutions .

Spina-Christi fruits nuclei were processed chemically using Phosphoric acid as chemical activator.
The parameters (such as initial pH, contact time, ..
etc) affecting the adsorption capacity of activated carbon toward dyes removal from aqueous solutions were investigated.
