English Abstract

The equations of stellar structure have been studied in the state of hydrostatic equilibrium.

the equation of hydrostatic equilibrium cannot be integrated directly to give a simple model for pressure, density, and temperature in the star, thus two models of stellar structure applied with different main sequence stars to understand the state of hydrostatic equilibrium.

In the first one it had been assumed that the density varies linearly from the centre of the star to the surface, this model is called the Linear Stellar Model this model is too simple to represent real star, but it gives qualitatively useful results.

In the second one it has been assumed that the pressure and density related throughout the star by an equation of polytropic form, this model called the Polytropic Stellar Model.

This is model extremely useful in analyzing the behaviour of gravitational gaseous configurations, and it is very close to the real state of stellar structure than the first model.

The polytropic model has been applied with two values of the polytropic index n .

The solution of n =1.5 has been compared with the linear stellar model and the solution of n = 3 has been compared with the standard stellar model.
