English Abstract

Solar radiations can be regarded as a useful source of information for studying and examining the Sun as a natural reactor.

Observing and analyzing solar emission using radio telescope are widely adopted by astronomers as radio telescopes are functioning adequately under various weather conditions that optical telescopes do not.

The objective of the present work is to observe and analyze solar radio bursts at 20.1 MHz frequency.

To make this study possible, a radio telescope capable of observing 20.1 MHz emission has been employed.

This telescope consists mainly of an antenna and a receiver.

The antenna is designed and assembled to collect the desired data.

A computer program is used to convert analog data into digital data and saved them in assigned files.

Solar storms type III were observed and recorded during the period 1-1-2006 to 30-6-2006 (coincides with the present minimum solar cycle).

The collected data which contains noise and solar bursts are carefully examined and analyzed.

Observations show that solar bursts reached the terrestrial collector at different durations (around 60 seconds) and different intensities.

Furthermore, it is noticed that solar storms generally rise to a peak of emission faster than they drop off afterward.

This is thought to be due to very dynamic and changeable magnetic fields of Sun
