Abstract EN
Vegetative propagation of Grewia tenax plants of age 8-24 months by stem cuttings and micropi'opagation was shown to be easy and successful.
The obtained rooting percentage ranged from 40% to 77% and the highest rooting percentage with the best development ol' root system oceurred ١١؛ the winter season.
The use of low cost non-mist propagator and application of the growth hormone; '' acid (1BA) at 250ppm; significantly influenced the development of the rooted cuttings.
In-vitro cultured explants showed a high potential l'o)• callus formation, shoot proliferation and roots formation on MS medium with and without growth regulators.
Multiplication rate ol' plantlefs (x3) and the rooting percentage can be inereased.
